Brisbane based ARA Financial is a young financial planning firm who approached us prior to their launch in early 2016. Since they were starting from scratch, they needed everything from logo to business cards, website to pull-up banners. Despite being in what’s known as a dry and old-fashioned industry, ARA was setting out to appeal to a much younger target market (namely millennials working in the health sector) and knew that a fresh approach would be needed when it came to brand development.
The name “Ara” was chosen by the founder as it was the name of the street she grew up on and was something she associated with stability and security. While she had no preconceived ideas about the logo design, she hoped it could somehow incorporate a path to represent the path to financial freedom. Much to her delight, the final design uses the centre of the A shape to depict a path moving forwards. Being a fan of black white imagery and wanting to use the black & white version of the logo, we chose a lime green highlight and pulled the style of the logo throughout the website, keeping it clean but interesting to the eye.
Founder, Vanora was thrilled with the result and extra chuffed to receive regular feedback from acquaintances and clients about the brand identity and assets. So while we’re not suited to someone looking to slap together something on the cheap, we are understanding of limited budgets and will always do our best to work something out that suits your situation.
